Each year we bring in a professional for parents and teens dealing with a bleeding disorder. We will have a team-building program led by hemophilia leadership expert, Pat Torrey. We also allow some time to relax and recreate with other families. This is a great opportunity to learn from and share experiences with one another. The educational and experiential components of family camp with the goal of encouraging self-confidence and independence are an essential component of our family camp program. We also have many recreational activities planned for our campers including arts and crafts projects, field games, educational sessions for children with bleeding disorders and their siblings, and breakout sessions for adult men and women. Infusion classes are a vital component of our annual family camp. They are supported by our nurses from our Hemophilia Treatment Center, which is located in Aurora, Colorado.
