Camp Little Oak is open to girls ages 7 to 17 with bleeding disorders. Camp will be free to attend and run by an all-volunteer staff. Camp Little Oak will receive a Permit To Operate from the New York State Department of Health, and be operated by Camp Little Oak Inc, a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit incorporation. The goal of Camp Little Oak is to give the girls a place made just for them. The girls will get to meet other girls who share similar challenges of living with a bleeding disorder, and the same hopes for the future. The Camp Little Oak Health Director will be Hope Woodcock-Ross RN, BSN, who has 10 years as an HTC nurse, and currently works for homecare doing education. Hope will make sure the girls have the medical care they need at camp. The Camp Directors will be Hannah Russell and Jerry Lindsey. Hannah, Hope and Jerry will be working to offer the girls plenty of fun activities like games, crafts, waterfront, campfires and more. Together Hope and Jerry have volunteered for more than 20 years at camps for children with bleeding disorders, and they're planning a full, fun camp experience for the girls. Hannah has been a counselor for the last 3 years, and wants to step into the Director spot. She will train with Jerry this year.
