Washington Days

Date:
February 25, 2015 to February 27, 2015

Venue:
Crystal Gateway Marriott

1700 Jefferson Davis Highway
Arlington, VA 22202
United States

The National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF’s) Washington Days is the premiere advocacy event on Capitol Hill for the bleeding disorders community.  Join more than 300 individuals with bleeding disorders and their families as we educate our elected officials about the unique needs of the bleeding disorders community.  Washington Days is a great opportunity to have your voice heard, network with other families from around the country and learn the key issues affecting our community.

NHF will hold Washington Days 2015 on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, through Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. The closest airport to the hotel is Reagan National Airport (DCA).

We ask that attendees plan to arrive Wednesday afternoon and depart Friday afternoon.  Please note that NHF’s First Time Attendee Training generally occurs in the early afternoon on Wednesday. In addition, our State Advocacy Workshop ends at 1:00pm on Friday.

Issues to Address

  1. Funding for Federal Hemophilia Programs
  2. Access to Skilled Nursing Facilities for Medicare Beneficiaries

NHF’s public policy team is working on a potential third issue that will be announced in the weeks to come.

Registration

Registration for Washington Days will open on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.  We have secured a group rate of $189 a night at the hotel.  You must register by Friday, January 30, 2015 to secure this discounted rate.  Please address any questions or concerns to: advocate@hemophilia.org.  We look forward to another successful Washington Days advocacy event with the bleeding disorders community on Capitol Hill!
