Section 430 of Public Law 108-203 of the 2004 Social Security Act allows any interest earned on or after July 1, 2004 from funds retained from the Ricky Ray Hemophilia Fund and the class settlement to be excluded from income for SSI purposes. Any interest that was generated prior to July 1, 2004 is not excluded from income for SSI purposes.
