Accredo Health Solutions, Inc., headquartered in Memphis, TN, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the specialty pharmacy business of Georgia-based Pediatric Services of America. “The treatment and care of pediatric patients with rare diseases, such as hemophilia, is the foundation on which Accredo was built,” said President and Chief Executive David D. Stevens. The $72 million deal is pending regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.

Accredo, a subsidiary of Medco Health Solutions, Inc., is a distributor of biopharmaceutical drugs and services for people with chronic conditions such as hemophilia, immunodeficiency disorders and multiple sclerosis.
