The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) marked its 50th anniversary at its annual Family Picnic on June 10, 2006 in Ypsilanti. The day's events also included the dedication of a glass memorial sculpture honoring members of HFM's bleeding disorders community who have died.
"All of us in the HFM community look forward to continuing our service to the bleeding disorders community. Before another 50 years goes by, medical science may find cures for hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and all other bleeding disorders. In the meantime, HFM will continue its mission of service to our community," said Ivan Harner, HFM Executive Director.
