The Coalition for Hemophilia B, Inc., is hosting a one-day consumer symposium on Saturday, March 8, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. The nonprofit organization, based in NYC, provides information, education and support to people with hemophilia B and their families.
Presentations at this year’s symposium include:
- “What’s New in Hemophilia 2008” by Christopher Walsh, MD, Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Director of the Regional Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center
- “Insurance 101” by Dana Kuhn, PhD, founder and president of Patient Services, Inc. (PSI)
- “A Level Playing Field,” by Michael O’Connor, a teenage competitive swimmer with moderately severe hemophilia B
