NHF is pleased to again offer scholarships for women with bleeding disorders. The 2008 scholarship has been renamed to honor the work of Renee Paper, RN, longtime community leader and women’s activist. Paper passed away in November 2007. “Renee was a champion of our outreach and education efforts,” said Ann-Marie Nazzaro, NHF’s Vice President for Education. “She was a pioneer and an eloquent voice for our cause. It is fitting to rename the Project Red Flag scholarship in her memory.”
NHF will award two $2,500 scholarships. Applications for the Project Red Flag Renee Paper Academic Scholarship are available on the Web site: www.projectredflag.org
The deadline for applications is Friday, May 16, 2008. For further information, please contact Anna DeSimone, NHF Director of Education: adesimone@hemophilia.org.
This program is made possible through the initiative of two young women with bleeding disorders and through a generous grant from CSL Behring.
