Project Red Flag Renée Paper Academic Scholarship
NHF is pleased to again offer two $2,500 scholarships for women with bleeding disorders. The 2008 scholarship has been renamed to honor Renée Paper, RN, longtime community leader and women’s activist, who died in 2007. “Renée was a champion of our outreach and education efforts,” said Ann-Marie Nazzaro, NHF’s Vice President for Education. “She was a pioneer and an eloquent voice for our cause. It is fitting to rename the Project Red Flag scholarship in her memory.”
Applications are available on the Web site: www.projectredflag.org. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 16, 2008. For further information, please contact Anna DeSimone, NHF Director of Education: email@example.com.
This program is made possible through the initiative of two young women with bleeding disorders and through a generous grant from CSL Behring.
Kevin Child Scholarship
This scholarship is given annually to a qualified student in memory of Kevin Child, who died of AIDS prior to his college graduation in 1989. The Child family hopes the scholarship will provide some assistance to an eligible student to acquire a higher education. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 27, 2008.
