The National Hemophilia Foundation announces the second year of its national Hemophilia Walk program for 2009. The goal is to continue to develop a national signature fundraising and awareness program from the pilot program that began in 2008 at five NHF chapter pilot sites around the country. The 2009 program will add five new sites to the five existing pilot sites, creating a 10-city Hemophilia Walk program.
To apply, please send your letter of intent, signed by your chapter director and board president, to Kristin Hokoyama, NHF Development Manager: khokoyama@hemophilia.org; fax: 212.328.3788; or mail: 116 W. 32nd St., 11th Floor, NY, NY 10001.
Information on the walks and the content of the letter of intent is available in this Hemophilia Walk 2009 Fact Sheet. The letters of intent are due by Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
The five new chapters selected for the 2009 walk program will be notified by Friday, August 25, 2008. Training sessions will be conducted in November 2008.
