The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is hosting its 60th Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, November 13-15, 2008. Our theme for this historic meeting is “Reaching New Heights.” Once again, you will be treated to three full days of educational sessions, networking opportunities and social activities.
This year individuals and families are urged to attend two preconference symposia just for them—“Empowering at Every Life Stage” and “Insurance—Playing the Game to Win.” Harvey Alter, MD, NIH premier research physician who identified the hepatitis C marker, will provide a special plenary session for providers. Don’t miss the kung fu workout for physical therapists and consumers. Other highlights include the two-day medical track for physicians and researchers; a session on how the presidential elections results will affect the bleeding disorders community; and fun social events for all.
If you’ve never traveled to Denver, here’s your chance to see the city voted most fit and some might add, most beautiful as well. We will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. It’s conveniently located near several museums, performing arts venues and other entertainment outlets. Additional rooms are available at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown, 1400 Welton Street, around the corner from the Hyatt; and at the Crowne Plaza Denver, 1.5 blocks from the Hyatt.
The deadline for the overflow hotel registration is Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Click here for more information on how you can register. Note: faxed and/or mail-in registrations will not receive the discount.
Please note: registration is now closed for the Activity Program for Kids & Teens and Babycare Program. There is no onsite registration for either program.
