With 15 walks planned in 2010, NHF’s chapters from coast to coast are busy gathering teams, training captains, soliciting sponsors and planning all the logistics of each walk. The national Walk initiative is a fun way to raise funds and awareness for the bleeding disorders community.
The first three walks of the 2010 Walk season are being sponsored by the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California on Saturday, April 17th, the New England Hemophilia Association on Saturday, June 5, and the New York City Hemophilia Chapter on Sunday, June 6.
If you’ve never participated in a walk, there’s plenty of time to limber up your joints for a walk in your area. Other ways to help include sponsoring a walker or volunteering your time and talents.
