NHF’s Annual Meeting: Marching to New Orleans in November

New Orleans--the city known for jazz, blues and zydeco music; Cajun and Creole cuisine; and a will to rebuild after the 2005 hurricanes—will host the National Hemophilia Foundation’s 62nd Annual Meeting November 11-13, 2010.

Mark your calendars for “Marching Forward,” the theme of this year’s three-day gathering, a blend of educational sessions, networking opportunities and social activities for the whole family. It’s the one place that consumers, providers and industry representatives come together to exchange information, share resources and provide encouragement.

Tentative sessions planned for consumers include: “Social Networking and Internet Security—How Much Should You Tell?”; “Babies, Bruises and Bleeds: Hemophilia 101”; sessions on intimacy for women with bleeding disorders, men and couples; and “Sibs are Us!” for the “other” child in the family.

The two-day Medical Track for Researchers and Physicians, with a poster abstracts presentation, will be held Friday and Saturday.

Stay tuned to NHF’s Web site for updates on Annual Meeting registration and how to book your hotel room, coming later this month.
