Research is Our Future Reaches the Social Network

Research is Our Future has gone public. Last month we began using NHF's Facebook page to spread the word about the importance of bleeding disorders research. We also are partnering with several chapters from around the country to help increase awareness and funding for NHF's research program.


Over the years, the medical community has experienced a steady decline in the number of hematologists who are interested in pursuing a career in research. That is why NHF is promoting the national campaign, Research is Our Future, Phase II of Campaign for Our Future, to expand innovative research projects and ensure that talented scientists continue to pursue this type of research.


Groundbreaking research, inspired by pioneers like Judith Graham Pool, who discovered a way to extract clotting factor from plasma, has led to many of the improved treatments that have benefitted our community. One of NHF's major research initiatives—the Judith Graham Pool Postdoctoral Research Fellowship--is named in her honor.
