The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is registering attendees for our 62nd Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, November 11-13, 2010. We will be “Marching Forward,” our 2010 theme, as our entire community of consumers, providers, industry representatives and others join together for three days of:
New Orleans was recently voted a top 10 tourist destination by Travel & Leisure magazine. It’s also a very family friendly city! You can take your kids to one of Audubon’s wonders. At the Aquarium of the Americas you can feed a sand-papery stingray, get up close with penguins and sharks, and view marine life in the 400,000-gallon Gulf of Mexico Exhibit. The Audubon Zoo boasts two unique habitats—Louisiana Swamp and Jaguar Jungle. Watch trainers put the sea lions and elephants through their paces during live outdoor demonstrations.
If your kids aren’t bothered by bugs, head to the Audubon Insectarium, the largest museum devoted to creepy crawlies in the U.S. Looking for some close encounters with wildlife in their natural habitats? Then head to Jean Lafitte’s Swamp and Airboat Tours. They take you down the back alleys of the bayou, where you may see gators, snakes, white-tailed deer, mink or nutria.
New Orleans is notable for nightlife in the French Quarter, where you’ll find Cajun and Creole cooking, jazz and blues clubs and shopping galore.
Please Note: Online registration for the popular Babycare Program and Activity Program for Kids & Teens is closed. There is no onsite registration or substitution for these programs.
Deadlines for registration at the three hotels we will be occupying during the meeting--Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, New Orleans Marriott, and JW Marriott--have all closed. Check here for availability.
