The National Hemophilia Foundation is pleased to announce that its 64th Annual Meeting, “Mapping Our Future,” will be held November 8-10, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. This three-day conference is expected to draw nearly 3,000 people, from families and individuals with bleeding disorders to chapter staff, healthcare providers and industry representatives. It is the place to be to find out the latest treatments, meet with others who share similar concerns and enjoy a get-away in a family friendly setting.
A sneak preview of sessions includes:
- “It’s a Guy Thing, Too: Men with von Willebrand Disease”
- “’I Don’t Need a Support Group—I have FACEBOOK! Pros and Cons”
- “Ask the Experts: Hormone Therapy Across Women’s Lifespan”
- “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes! Exploring the Pros and Cons of Protection Devices”
Once again, NHF will host a two-day Medical Track for Researchers and Physicians. One of the highlights of that meeting is a poster abstract presentation and reception. Separate tracks for nurses, physical therapists and social workers will provide sessions on inhibitors, sports participation and the role of social workers in genetics, respectively.
So mark your calendars and start planning for NHF’s 64th Annual Meeting in Orlando. Stay tuned for registration and hotel accommodation information coming later this month.
