Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2012 Annual Meeting Awards of Excellence and Awards of Distinction in Programs. All winners will be announced at NHF’s 64th Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony, Saturday, November 10, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. The deadline for all submissions is Friday, June 22, 2012.
The Awards of Excellence recognize distinguished individuals in the bleeding disorders community. This includes physicians, genetic counselors, researchers, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, advocates and volunteers. Other remarkable individuals can be nominated for lifetime achievement or meritorious service. Each year chapters can recognize one individual who has gone above and beyond in serving the community. This volunteer will automatically be recognized at the Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony, regardless of the selection process.
The Awards of Distinction in Programs recognize chapter-based programs in health education, outreach, communications and collaboration. Each chapter receiving an award will be given a $1,000 incentive to enhance its program.
Any individual or program meeting the requirements is eligible to receive an award. Current NHF board members, NHF staff and paid consultants are ineligible to receive an award. Additionally, programs that have received an award within the last five years are not eligible.
Nominations will be accepted from NHF chapters, volunteers, community members and HTC staff. Current and former NHF staff are ineligible to submit nominations. Learn about the requirements/criteria and about past Awards of Excellence winners. Submit your nominations online.
All nominations must be submitted by Friday, June 22, 2012. For more information, please contact Amy Brown, NHF Education Coordinator: email@example.com.
