Deadline Nearing for Victory for Women Scholarship

The Victory for Women (V4W) program is extending its deadline for the two $2,500 academic scholarships for women pursuing a degree program in post-secondary education, at a college, university or accredited vocational school. Candidates must be US residents and have a bleeding disorder diagnosis from a hematologist, such as von Willebrand disease, hemophilia, or a factor deficiency, or be a carrier.

To download the application and instructions, click here. Applications can be submitted electronically or by snail mail: P.O. Box 971483, Ypsilanti, MI. 48197. The deadline for applications is: Friday, July 20, 2012.

For more information, please contact Patrice Flax Thomas, NHF Manager of Education, by e-mail: pflax@hemophilia.org   or call: 734.890.2504.

The V4W scholarships were inspired by the generosity of two extraordinary young women in the bleeding disorders community: Josephine Droney and Lindsey Hanson.
