Registration Still Open for Hemophilia B Symposium

Registration is still open for the 7th annual Hemophilia B Symposium, hosted by The Coalition for Hemophilia B, Inc., on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. The one-day event is for individuals and families coping with hemophilia B (factor IX deficiency).

The keynote speaker is Christopher E. Walsh, MD, who will give a hemophilia B update. Walsh is associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine and Director of the Regional Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center. Pat Torrey will challenge participants during his session, “Getting out of Your Comfort Zone.” Other topics include: pain management and meditation, healthy lifestyle and adherence, insurance updates, and a mother’s journey.

Parents will be pleased to know that childcare is provided for infants up through teens age 14. A day trip is planned for children 7 and older.

The symposium runs from 9AM-5PM, and breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided. To register yourself and your children, please click here.
