NHF hosted a successful and festive benefit gala, the Spring Soiree, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The third annual event celebrated NHF’s 65th anniversary and paid tribute to four honorees who have made significant contributions to the bleeding disorders community:
Founder’s Award: Betty Jane & Robert Henry (posthumously), with Fred T. Ferguson accepting on behalf of the family
Doreen McMullan McCarthy Award: Patrick McMullan, Patrick McMullan Company
Leadership in Research Award: Paul E. Monahan, MD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Corporate Leadership Award: Pfizer Hemophilia, with Emil C. Andrusko, RPH, US Marketing & Sales, accepting on behalf of the company
The gala event raised nearly $400,000, with more than 235 guests in attendance. We are pleased to recognize the outstanding commitment of the Spring Soiree Co-Chairs: Gary D. Farro, Barbara Gordon, Joe Miller and Nicole Miller.
