The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is looking for stories--funny, but true stories--for the Dear Alex Essay Competition. Submit an essay of 500 words or less describing a funny and compelling story about living or dealing with your bleeding disorder. Actress and comedian Alex Borstein (the voice of Lois Griffin on FOX Television’s “Family Guy” and the star of HBO’s new series “Getting On”) will review the top 10 essays (selected by a panel of judges) and choose the winner.
The Dear Alex Essay Competition winner will receive roundtrip airfare for two, a one-night stay at a hotel in NYC, two tickets to NHF’s What’s So Bloody Funny? comedy event/fundraiser at the Highline Ballroom in NYC on October 30th, and other prizes.
