The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) recently named the recipients of its Michigan 2005 Legislators of the Year awards. The winners were recognized for excellence in legislative policy-making efforts on behalf of Michigan’s bleeding disorders community. The awardees were Michigan Representative Alma Wheeler-Smith of the 54th District and Michigan State Senator Tony Stamas. The awards were announced on April 1, 2006 at Springfest, HFM’s annual consumer conference.
