On April 4th nearly 350 people gathered at the ESPN Zone in New York City for the National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF) Game Night 2006. The fundraising event featured a silent auction of sports memorabilia, an appearance by New York Yankees legend Jim Leyritz and various casino games. Funds raised will support NHF education, advocacy and research programs, and initiatives for people with bleeding and clotting disorders. The primary sponsors for Game Night 2006 were Bana Electric Corp. and Bayer HealthCare.
Co-chairs for Game Night 2006 were Shari Bender, mother of a nine-year-old girl with hemophilia, and brothers Perry and Corey Parker, both professional athletes with hemophilia.
