The National Hemophilia Foundation appointed John Indence as the new Vice President
for Marketing and Communications. He brings to the position experience in marketing
and communications from both nonprofit and corporate settings. Suzy Zimmerman, his
predecessor, will work with John during the transition period and through the Annual
Most recently John was Vice President, Marketing with Lighthouse International in New
York City, where he was responsible for the strategic development, budgeting,
coordination and implementation of national and international communications and
marketing initiatives. In his previous position as Vice President, Products Division, he
was solely responsible for organizational restructuring and management of the low-vision
professional products and retailing divisions.
Prior to working at Lighthouse International, John was employed by Garvan
Communications in Hicksville, NY. He worked his way up from Account Executive to
Senior Vice President.
John has a B.A. in political science from the State University of New York at Albany.
