The North American Camping Conference of Hemophilia Organizations (NACCHO) is
offering “Leading Edge: Exploring the Outer Limits,” a new program for bleeding
disorders organizations interested in promoting self-esteem and responsibility in youths
and teens. The program uses games, individual and group activities and challenge
courses, if appropriate, to develop confidence, trust and teamwork in teens and youths
with bleeding disorders.
Organizations can conduct the programs during a camp session, at a local meeting or as a
stand-alone event. The grant covers the cost of two days’ worth of programming,
including all materials, equipment, surveys and post-event evaluation forms. The
program, funded by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, provides for seven grants this year.
