The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is looking forward to seeing you at its 65th Annual Meeting, “United in Progress,” October 3-5, 2013, in Anaheim, California. Our yearly gathering is an event individuals and families look forward to all year long. Annual Meeting “regulars” know that during this three-day conference, they will have an abundance of educational sessions to attend, fun social activities to look forward to and down time to relax and unwind. Our chapter staff, industry partners and healthcare providers also anticipate reuniting with each other and with individuals and families with bleeding disorders.
This year NHF is providing 44 educational sessions to entice you, including: “My Life, Our Future, Genotyping for Progress in Hemophilia,” an update on NHF’s genotyping initiative; “The Sibling Situation: Meeting Everyone’s Needs,” addressing the needs of brothers and sisters of kids with bleeding disorders; “Muscle Chisel for Men with Bleeding Disorders,” a fun session combining a low-impact cardio workout set to music; “Can We Talk? Moms, Daughters and Bleeding Disorders,” to help open up lines of communication; “Hepatitis C Updates,” with the latest treatments and those on the horizon; and Ask the Experts in Espanol.
We’ve also added a Women’s Track this year for consumers.
And from toddlers to teens, we have programs planned for each age group. The popular Babycare/Activity Program for Kids and Teens fills up fast, so be sure to register your children early.
So if California is calling your name, you’d better listen! It won’t be long before we’ll be heading West for a coastal connection at NHF’s 65th Annual Meeting October 3-5, 2013. Hope to see you there!
