Dawn Rotellini—Regional Director Chapter Services

Dawn Rotellini—Regional Director of Chapter ServicesDawn has been a long-time member of the hemophilia community.  As a parent of a son with hemophilia, she founded the Rocky Mountain Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Association in Bozeman, Montana, and served as its Executive Director.  She then served as the Executive Director and then board member of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the NHF in Pittsburgh.  Prior to accepting her position with NHF, Dawn was Hematology Account Executive with Bayer HealthCare. Her nonprofit background also includes experience as an Area Manager with the American Diabetes Association in Pittsburgh.  Dawn earned a Bachelor of Science from Montana State University in Bozeman.

 

Kathleen Roach—Regional Director of Chapter Services

Kathleen Roach—Regional Director of Chapter ServicesKathleen comes to NHF from her position as the Executive Director of the Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation (GLHF) in Milwaukee. Within that role she served as a Regional Director for 14 hemophilia treatment centers in the Midwest, through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, of the US Department of Health and Human Services, and for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Region V-West). Previously held positions include Executive Director of the Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council in the Twin Cities (MN); and Associate Director, Adolescent Health Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Kathleen earned her Masters of Business Administration from Edgewood College in Madison (WI), and Masters of Public Health from Cal State-Long Beach.

 

Michelle Rice—Regional Director of Chapter Services

Michelle Rice—Regional Director of Chapter ServicesBefore accepting her new position at NHF, Michelle served as Executive Director of Hemophilia of Indiana, Inc., since 2000. She has two sons with hemophilia.  Michelle’s accomplishments include creating a coalition to advocate for change in Indiana Medicaid coverage for inpatients, resulting in a state plan amendment authorizing the implementation of reimbursement for inpatient clotting factor; helping craft legislation insuring access to the Indiana Hemophilia Treatment Center (IHTC), and the inclusion of all drugs used to treat hemophilia, HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C; collaborating with IHTC and Delta Dental to develop a statewide dental insurance plan for people with bleeding disorders and their families; and identifying and cultivating relationships with key funders, converting a $60,000 budget deficit into a $642,000 budget within six years.  Previously, Michelle worked as a paralegal in Indianapolis.
