Nathan Wilkes, a member of the bleeding disorders community, will testify on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at a Congressional hearing on underinsurance. The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing, "Insured But Not Covered: The Problem Of Underinsurance," will focus on the stories of typical Americans who have faced difficulties due to inadequate insurance policies. Wilkes will testify about his family's struggles to maintain insurance in the face of lifetime caps. He will also thank the committee for its work to eliminate lifetime caps in the House health reform legislation and ask that caps be eliminated immediately after health reform is enacted.
