Anna DeSimone Women’s Scholarship for NHF's Annual Meeting
The NHF has created a yearly scholarship to honor the life and work of Anna DeSimone, a tireless advocate for issues affecting women with bleeding disorders; former staff member of NHF and founding member of the Foundation for Women and Girls with Blood Disorders. This scholarship is to fund a woman with a bleeding disorder to attend the NHF Annual Meeting.

The Doreen McMullan McCarthy Memorial Academic Scholarship for Women with Bleeding Disorders – 2013
The Victory for Women Program (V4W) is proud to announce an academic scholarship for women with bleeding disorders commemorating Doreen McMullan McCarthy, a young nurse and loving mother, who passed away from complications of von Willebrand Disease in 1979 when she was 25 years old. This scholarship is named in her honor, and those family members who keep her spirit alive: her mother, Connie McMullan, her brother, Patrick McMullan, and her son, Jamie McCarthy.
