NYC Hemophilia Walk Has Its Day in the Sun The sun was shining and spirits were high as more than 700 walkers, kids in strollers and dogs on leashes “walked the walk” to support the New York City Hemophilia Walk 2008 on Sunday, June 1. Approximately 30 teams and countless individuals and families strode along the Hudson River, proudly wearing the official Walk t-shirt or their colorful own team t-shirts. Walkers were not only treated to a stellar day, but also to nourishment and entertainment. Bagels and fruit restored energy, and VitaminWater provided the beverages. Afterward, Magic Al entertained children and adults alike. The event raised over $170,000, which will go to support NHF’s three key initiatives—advocacy, education and research.
