The Northern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation (NOHF) is a private, non-profit organization established in 1954 as a support system by and for concerned parents of children with genetic bleeding disorders.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with genetic bleeding disorders and their families, through advocacy, education, research and other constituency services.

JOIN THIS WALK!

STEP 1: REGISTER

  • Team Captains - Please Register Your Teams First!
    • Click the yellow "Register Now!“ button above.
    • Then click the green “Team Captains – Create Your Team” button.
    • Login with your MyActive account. If you do not have one, quickly create a MyActive account.
    • Enter the name of your team and click “Save" to complete the registration.
      Note: A team fundraising Web page is automatically created once you register your team!
    • After registering your team, please register yourself as a member of your team by continuing or later returning to this page and clicking on "Register Now!" (See Team Members below.)

  • Team Members - Register yourself as a Member of your Team!
    • Click the yellow "Register Now!“ button above.
    • Then click the green “Register Now” button.
    • Login with your MyActive account. If you do not have one, quickly create a MyActive account.
    • Check the waiver, enter your initials, check the age box. Click “Continue.”
    • Fill out the registration form. Select your team from the drop-down menu. Click “Continue.”
    • Review your registration details. Click "Submit." (Registration is free. No payment is required.)
      Note: Your own fundraising Web page is automatically created after you've registered.
    • On the Registration Confirmation page, click “Log In Here” to begin customizing your Web page.

  • Register as an Individual - Same as above except do not select a team on the registration form.

  • Register Someone Else - Parents or registrants who would like to register additional participants (children, spouse, etc.) may do so after they've registered themselves.

STEP 2: CUSTOMIZE YOUR FUNDRAISING WEB PAGE

Once you have registered you can begin fundraising by customizing your personal Web page. Click the "Login" link above to get started. Customing pages is fun, simple and easy. You can get creative by adding pictures, changing color schemes and designing the layout of your page.

  • Team Captains - Please note that you will have two pages to customize. As the team captain, you will be in charge of customizing your team fundraising Web page as well as your own personal fundraising Web page. Once you've logged in, you can elect which page you want to edit from the drop-down menu.
 

STEP 3: TELL YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS

Now that you have registered and created your individual and/or team fundraising pages, you can begin to fundraise within your circle of family, friends, colleagues and supporters! Active.com enables you to upload your email address book so that emails with your Web site’s link can be sent to anyone that you have indicated. Log in to MyActive then click "Send Email" and follow the directions.


STEP 4: TRACK YOUR SUCCESS

Your Active account helps you keep track of all donations made online through your personalized fundraising page. For people who’ve made donations on your behalf via check or cash, Active also allows you to enter these amounts so they can be added to your total funds raised and help you reach your goal. If donors write checks please have them indicate your name and the name of the chapter in the memo area. If they give cash, keep a written log of the amount of money you have received. Log in to MyActive, then click "View Report" and follow the directions.

Walk Site Details

Walkers will meet at the Coe Lake Gazebo in Berea. Coe Lake is situated behing Berea's City Hall and the Cuyahoga County Library. Once a Sandstone Quarry, it is now an excellent lake for fishing and canoeing. Coe Lake has a boardwak with a pier, a bird and butterfly habitat and a plaza. With the addition of the Kiwanis Picnic Pavilion and other improvements, the Coe Lake area has become one of the most scenic sights in Berea..
