About Hemophilia Walk 2008
The Hemophilia
Walk is NHF’s largest
event dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for
bleeding and clotting disorders, and to prevent the complications
of these disorders
through education, advocacy and research. Organized by the
National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), the Hemophilia Walk
will make its debut in 2008 at five
inaugural sites – Cleveland/Akron (OH) area; Houston (TX); New York
City; Phoenix (AZ); and the Raleigh/Durham (NC) area.
Established
in 1948, NHF is the premier organization in the U.S. serving
the bleeding and clotting disorders community. Bleeding disorders
is a general
term for a wide range of medical problems that lead to poor
blood clotting and continuous bleeding. Now in its 60th year,
NHF continues to be a vital resource for prevention education
and provides a network of support for Americans living with
bleeding disorders and
their families.
Please join us for Hemophilia Walk 2008 and participate in our fun
and festive event. Proceeds will support NHF and our chapters, and raise
awareness about the bleeding and clotting disorders community. Your
support is greatly appreciated!
