NHF Discussion Groups Disclaimer

All visitors must read and acknowledge this NHF Discussion Group Policy and Disclaimer prior to participating in any discussion group.

Posted messages reflect the views of the individual author and not of NHF or any other participant. They do not represent the views of the group as a whole, or of any person other than the individual author. The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), its staff, volunteers, vendors, chapters, and other agents take no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, medical soundness or usefulness of the information contained within messages posted to any discussion group.

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless NHF, its staff and representatives with respect to any claims made by other users of these discussion groups. Users who feel that the content of a posted message is objectionable or offensive are encouraged to contact NHF by email at info@hemophilia.org. NHF staff or designated representatives may, at their discretion, delete messages they deem objectionable. They may also choose at their discretion to communicate further with the maker of the complaint, the author of the message in question, or both, prior to making a final decision regarding a complaint. Every effort will be made to respond to reports of objectionable messages within a reasonable time frame.

By choosing to participate in an NHF discussion group, users voluntarily agree not to post any statements which they know to be false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, invasive of the privacy of others, or otherwise in violation of any operative law. Advertisements, solicitations, chain letters, and pyramid schemes are also inappropriate and will be deleted.

Users who violate any part of this policy may be prevented from participating in NHF discussion groups. NHF may also take legal action against violators or seek other remedies when necessary and appropriate. In cases where a legal action arises as a result of a posted message or messages, NHF reserves the right to reveal information about a user to the appropriate parties.
