NHF advocates for our community with Comment Letters that educate policy makers about the unique health care needs of bleeding disorder patients.
Key Advocacy Issues and Materials
NHF’s public policy team monitors issues and advocates on both the federal and state levels to ensure access to quality care for the bleeding disorders community. Advocacy involves a lot more than a day at the Capitol though. Written advocacy can be as effective as face-to-face interactions with decision makers. NHF’s public policy team frequently drafts materials, either on behalf of NHF or in coalition with Chapters and other patient advocacy groups, to educate those within and outside the bleeding disorders community about our unique healthcare needs. Want to better understand some of the key issues that our community has faced recently? Check out the various materials NHF drafted on these important issues.
