Social Workers Luncheon: International Leadership Development and Mentoring within the Bleeding Disorders Community
During this session we will highlight two global leadership skill-building and mentoring programs that have produced international leaders within the bleeding disorders community for the last eight years. The underlying need for succession planning to sustain bleeding disorder community organizations is vital. There will be an opportunity to discuss the need for leadership development of people with hemophilia in the US by sharing professional experiences of patients from their scope of practice. The audience will increase resources that can specifically target opportunities for leadership development and mentoring programs for people with hemophilia A and B, ages 18 to 40 years, within the US.
