Thank You for Making Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month a Success!
Thanks to you, Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month was an incredible success! Sixteen states passed resolutions recognizing March as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, and hundreds of people posted their best red tie looks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the #RedTieChallenge. From statehouse steps to preschool classrooms, there were red ties everywhere we looked!
As recognition grows for Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, the red tie is fast becoming a symbol of our community. At NHF, each red tie is an inspiration to us. Each red tie is a story of a person who needs us to fight for them. We are proud to work to support families affected by bleeding disorders, advocate for access to healthcare for everyone in our community, and fund critical research that could one day lead to better treatments and cures. Each red tie reminds us that there are still challenges that need to be met for improving the lives of people with bleeding disorders.
So even though Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month has drawn to a close, our challenges continue. The Red Tie Challenge will run through World Hemophilia Day on April 17th. There is still time to show the world your red tie! For more information on how you can join the movement, go to redtiechallenge.org.
Thank you for your inspiration.
