Fel es un buceador comercial. Su hijo tiene hemofilia y decidió convertirse en Guía Cultural para retribuir a la comunidad de hemofilia que ha hecho un gran trabajo con su hijo. Cuando su hijo fue diagnosticado, Fel no pudo encontrar información en español en ese momento, por lo que unirse al programa Guía Cultural fue una buena oportunidad para conectar con las familias hispanas con hemofilia. La parte más gratificante de ser una Guía Cultural es conectarse con tantas familias hispanas y entregar información en español le llena de alegría. Según Fel, el mayor desafío que ha superado fue encontrar información en español sobre el trastorno hemorrágico de su hijo. Afortunadamente, encontró recursos en español y desde allí comenzó a sentirse más cómodo al tratar la hemofilia.
La palabra favorita de Fel es "Defensa" y se siente inspirada por la vieja generación con hemofilia porque son los verdaderos guerreros porque gracias a su lucha por el factor limpio y la defensa, es que su hijo vive una vida perfecta. No puede vivir sin respirar y si alguien escribiera un libro sobre él, el título sería "No se olvide de ayudar a los necesitados sin juzgar".
Fel is a Commercial Diver. His son has hemophilia and decided to become a Guía Cultural to give back to the hemophilia community that has done a great job with his son. When Fel’s son was diagnosed he couldn’t find information in Spanish at that time, therefore joining the Guía Cultural program was a good opportunity to connect Hispanic families with hemophilia. The most rewarding part of being a Guía Cultural is to connect with so many Hispanic families and delivering the information in Spanish fills him with lots of joy. According to Fel, the biggest challenge he has overcome was finding information in Spanish about his son’s bleeding disorder. Luckily, he found resources in Spanish and from there he started to be more comfortable dealing with hemophilia.
Fel’s favorite word is “Advocacy” and he feels inspired by the old generation with hemophilia because they are the true warriors that thanks to their fight for clean factor and advocacy is that his son lives a perfect life. He can’t live without breathing and if someone wrote a book about him the title would be “Don’t forget to help those in need without judging”.
