Sawsan Zamzeer is a second-year pre-medical student at the University of Arizona. She wants to be a Hematologist so she can help children and adults with bleeding disorders. She is also a volunteer at the University Medical Center in Tucson. She has a brother who is seven years old with Type A, Severe Hemophilia. Sawsan moved to the United States from Kuwait four years ago and has been actively involved with the Arizona Hemophilia Association since then. She wants to take this opportunity as an NYLI member to gain more knowledge about, and make meaningful connections within the bleeding disorders community.
