Rare Bleeding Disorders Virtual Conference 2020

-

If you or a member of your family has been diagnosed with a rare bleeding disorder such as FVII (factor seven), FX (factor ten), FXIII (factor thirteen) deficiencies, or Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia, we encourage you to register for this educational virtual conference to learn more about living with a rare bleeding disorder and connect with others facing similar situations. Additionally, this year, we are happy to introduce educational sessions on FV (factor five), FXI (factor eleven), and Bernard-Soulier syndrome.

While we will have content specific to those rare bleeding disorders, registration is open to all rare factor deficiencies and rare platelet disorders. Additionally, this program is open to international participants and will not be limited to US residents. The conference will be held virtually on Sunday, August 30 - Friday, September 4, 2020.

In place of our usual kids programming, we’re excited to announce we are hosting a virtual youth camp: Camp Unite. This camp will run the same days as the virtual conference and is free to join. For more information on how to register your youth, check out our camp website.

OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM:

  • An interactive opening session to kick off the conference and a final night event to close out the conference
  • Educational sessions specific to FX, FVII, and FXIII deficiencies, as well as broader sessions for other rare factor deficiencies and a session for rare platelet disorders, such as Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia. Additionally, there will be topics that are relevant across these rare conditions.
  • A networking session that will give participants a chance to meet other families in the rare bleeding disorders community
  • A roundtable session that will allow participants to speak with providers who work closely with rare bleeding disorders
