The Kevin Child Scholarship remembers Kevin Michael Child (9/14/67 - 6/7/89), the youngest of 7 children, born and raised in Basking Ridge, NJ. As a kid Kevin was the poster child for hemophilia in New Jersey. He was among the first to home-infuse his clotting factor, something that enabled him to lead a "normal" life. Ultimately, AIDS took his life at the age of 21. He passed away just a few days after he should have graduated from Bucknell University with an electrical engineering degree. Handsome, smart, witty, avid deep-sea fisherman, his friends called him the "wild" Child. He received an award in Perseverance from the Dean of Engineering.
Honor Kevin's legacy by encouraging students with hemophilia have the opportunity to obtain a higher education.
