The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology Division along with its affiliated institution, The Ohio State University College of Medicine, are jointly hosting an upcoming educational training on inhibitors. The Center for Advanced Training in Hemophilia and Inhibitor Management (CATHIM) workshop will focus on the clinical care of patients with hemophilia and inhibitors.

CATHIM is a “hands-on” workshop designed to incite interest in the field of coagulation medicine in the attendees, and to fill a gap that exists in many current hematology training programs with respect to managing patients with complex hemostatic disorders. The target audience is physicians in adult and pediatric hematology fellowships, trainees in hematology and immunology, and Advance Practice Nurses.

The workshop will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 – Sunday, October 22, 2017, in Columbus, Ohio. There are scholarships available to cover travel and/or hotel expenses for those individuals who may be eligible to apply.

The two institutions will follow up the workshop with a separate symposium on inhibitors on October 23rd.
