The National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF's) Medical and Scientific Advisory Council (MASAC) issued the following two new documents, which were adopted by NHF’s Board of Directors on November 13, 2015:

MASAC Document #237 includes the council’s most recent series of treatment recommendations, including information on currently available therapies.

MASAC Document #238 recommends adoption of the standardized guidelines created by NHF’s Physical Therapy Working Group. These comprehensive guidelines are intended for use in physical therapy (PT) services for the management of individuals with bleeding disorders, and can be employed in either inpatient or outpatient settings. While document #238 can also be used for PT services by unaffiliated institutions, MASAC strongly encourages consultation with professional HTC staff in those cases.
