This fascinating 3D video shows in detail how standard half-life (SHL) and extended half-life (EHL) treatments work within the clotting cascade. The video shows that some people treat on a regular schedule (called “prophylaxis” or “prophy”) and other people treat only when they have a bleed (called on demand treatment). In the video, you will see how each treatment lasts for a different amount of time in the body. You will also learn about the benefits and limitations of both types of treatment.
